Unit Overview
- Be able to set up a camera and video equipment for a shoot. Set up camera, video and sound equipment for a visual effect, shoot using tripods, dollies, lighting and sound equipment. Adhere to risk assessment and health and safety guidelines
- Be able to shoot visual effects footage. Take appropriate and effective shot(s) to meet a given, planned visual task.
- Be able to use composting techniques in the creation of visual effects. Demonstrate the use of appropriate compositing software to manipulate the results of a shoot to create or improve a visual effect.


Once I had my footage, I selected the clip, went into effect controls and selected mask path. Once selected the program will allow you to select your points on top of the video. The mask will appear invented at first so you must tick the invert box as to turn it the right way round


Once placed, drag and drop the points of your mask over the lightsaber and do the same for every frame
